Year 4- RE workshop

Year 4- RE workshop

This week, Year 4 had a visitor who came and taught them about Nature in Islam. We learnt that in the Qur’an (The holy book of Islam) there is a very large part about bees and how amazing nature is. We then tried some honey to see why the bees worked so hard to make it.

We learnt that in a bee hive bees make honeycombs to store their honey.

These honeycombs are a very clever shape because they allow the bee to store lots of honey because the hexagon shape allows all the honeycombs to sit very close together.

Year 4 then worked in a team, like bees, to make individual hexagons. We then put all these together to create our own giant honeycomb.
