Leeds Childrens’ Lord Mayor visited us for ‘Generous June’
Leeds Childrens’ Lord Mayor Isla visited us to speak to take part in activities based around ‘Generous June’.
Generous June is part of Isla’s manifesto, which is all about tackling bullying in schools. Showing you care is one of our Co-op Ways of Being, and it’s great to see Isla thinks it’s important too. Her idea is simple, “kindness costs nothing”.
So we were very happy when Isla asked if we wanted to be involved in Generous June. She visited us to see some of the activities we were taking part in, and spoke to pupils about what they kindness meant to them.
We will be taking part in Generous June activities for the rest of the month, showing everyone how much we care.
