    This week’s topic focuses on what parents and carers need to know about NFTs or Non-Fungible Tokens. This includes advice on fake collections, storage issues and phishing emails.

  • World Book Day at Nightingale – Inspired by The Red Prince

    What a day at Co-op Academy Nightingale! Inspired by a fantastic book chosen by one of our Year 1 Teachers, Mrs. Tanday. The whole school engaged in activities from Art to Story Writing across the day all based on the same book. It was incredible to see children of all ages loving learning a new story and all taking different meaning from it.

  • Island Mission for Year 3 Robots!

    We have been using our DT knowledge and skills to design and make robots. We learned the 4 steps of the design process are: Research, Design, Make and Evaluate. Our robots had to be able to travel on different surfaces on an island, as well as carry equipment for scientists. Year 3 showed incredible teamwork and imagination when constructing their robots – they added electric circuits for headlamps, horns and motors, using switches to turn them on and off. We had to think about how to protect the circuits from rain on the island. Well done year 3 on your fantastic robots!

  • Romans! Putting ourselves in their Sandals!​​​​​​​

    When Year 4 were learning about the Romans, they got into character and interviewed Boudicca, Claudius, Constantine and Hadrian asking them about their rise to power and their battles and how they felt in each step of their famous stories. This allowed the children to empathise with these famous figures and imagine what it would have been like to make the decisions they made.
