Pupils in year 5 took advantage of our extensive outdoor learning environment to facilitate their learning. 

Children started their day reading in the outdoor environment. They then worked on their story maps planning the journey of the stories on the ground in chalk and then turning these into small drama sketches. In maths the children worked on shape and fraction and built teamwork skills as they solved problems together. The day consisted of lots of oracy and small group work and the children enjoyed their learning experiences despite the British weather.
