World Book Day 2024 took place last week at Nightingale and we were so impressed by the thought and effort that had gone into all different kinds of fancy dress. The thing that made Mr Phillips smile the most was children completely independently using characters and ideas from their class texts to inspire their outfits.

We actually held our World Book Day celebrations a day late on the Friday, which is also International Womens' Day, so quite aptly the joint winners of the best outfit were none other than Rosa Parks and Emmeline Pankhurst from Year 4 Kingfishers and Year 5 Doves respectively.
