IMPORTANT INFORMATION (PARENT SURVEY)
Our team at Co-op Academy Nightingale is gearing up for a new survey in which we'll be giving you the opportunity to express your opinion on parent and carer d engagement at Co-op Academies Trust and your overall confidence in the school’s strategy. Our goal is to open up a communication channel where your voice is heard and organised in such a way that we can create the best learning environment for your child. To help us with this, we're working together with the Edurio survey platform. To complete the survey, please click here: edurio.com/poll/V0EZn7
Surveys are completely anonymous and confidential, though the responses will be aggregated for the purpose of analysis. Please note that the survey needs to be completed in one sitting. The survey will be available until {insert close date} and the survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. Your opinion and honesty are much appreciated. If you have any questions or concerns please be in touch.
We look forward to your feedback
Staffing Changes
I wanted to keep you up to date with some key staff changes that will be taking place soon. Mr Phillips who many of you will know well and who has been at co-op Academy Nightingale for a significant amount of time is due to leave us after the Easter break Mr Phillips has been a fantastic member of the Nightingale team and will be missed by pupils and staff. We would like to take this opportunity to wish him all the best of luck for the future and I am sure you will want to join us in wishing him well also
In more positive news we have a great addition to the Nightingale team to introduce to you. Mr Ingle has joined our family support team and will be working alongside families and children in improving school attendance. Mr Ingle has a wealth of experience in supporting both families and children and I know he will appreciate a chat with any parents if you see him in the playground.
Parents Evening
Parents evening will take place on Tuesday 5th March and Wednesday 6th March in the school hall. We would love to see you there and don’t forget we will also have the school catering team on site to share samples of food from the school dinner menu. Please sign up at your child’s classroom door.
World Book Day
We will be celebrating world book day on the Friday 8th March this year. We have taken feedback from parents who have told us they would like to go back to allowing children to dress up as any book character rather than have a themed / colour day. We also appreciate that for some families making or buying costumes can be time consuming or costly so feel free to use one of the below ideas as a starting point.
Comic Relief
For Comic relief we will be holding a non uniform day. This will be on Friday 15th March. We ask that in return for not wearing school uniform that all pupils where possible make a small donation of 50p. Donations can be handed to the class teacher on the day.
Change of term dates
A quick reminder that we have a small change to this years term dates as mentioned in previous newsletters. The easter holidays starts on Thursday 28th March at 3:30 and pupils return on Tuesday 16th April at 8:45.
Lates
We wanted to say thank you for responding to the letter sent out last week regarding late pick ups at the end of the school day and we saw a massive improvement in parents picking up their child(ren) by 3.30pm. Any children that are not collected by this time will go to our after school club and will incur a cost of £3.00 per child. We would also like to remind after school clubs to pick up your child by 4.30pm and children not collected by this time will incur a cost of £3.00 per child as this will require the after school club staff to stay later than they contracted. Being on time helps support the workload and wellbeing of our staff so we appreciate the work you have done to be consistently be on time.
